Mountain View

Project Description

The Municipality is working to completely renovate and expand the existing Parks and Recreation building at the corner of Bragaw and Mountain View Drives. The new multi-cultural library and community room will hold a diverse collection of books, media, and magazines, and offers community-oriented programming that reflects the neighborhood's rich cultural diversity. The building is on target for LEED Silver level of green building certificaiton.

Timeline

The contract for the project was awarded to SR Bales Construction, Inc. in December 2008. Construction began in early March 2009, and will be complete in early 2010. Shelving and furniture will be installed in March, books go on the shelves in April and May and the library should be ready to open to the public by early summer 2010.
